Kristin Lynn Mitchell
is the author of the highly sought after memoir: He Wasn’t
My Daddy, Founder & CEO of K. Restoration, LLC., a phenomenal
speaker, and an inspirational educator.
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Child Development from Spelman College - Atlanta, Georgia and a
Master of Education in Special Education from George Mason
University – Fairfax, Virginia.
After suffering from depression, experiencing
suicidal ideations and attempts, and dealing with the trauma of
being a fatherless daughter, Kristin began the journey of taking her
life back and embarked on a very difficult road of redemption and
restoration. Out of this journey was birthed K. Restoration, LLC. As
a result of her personal struggles and experiences, Kristin
developed a passion for helping women overcome some of the same
adversities of life that she was able to overcome. K. Restoration
helps women to become better versions of themselves through: books
and workbooks, interactive workshops and various social experiences.
Specific areas of focus include: improving mental health and
stability, combating the traumas of fatherlessness, and improving
self-esteem. Kristin draws from her personal experiences in order to
create proven systems that help to uplift, inspire and restore
women. From her highly sought after memoir, He Wasn’t My Daddy,
to her popular workshop series, Kristin provides insight, knowledge,
and experiences that are paralleled to none.
In 2015, Kristin was named and recognized as
one of Washington, D.C.’s Metro Phenomenal Women. In addition
to her numerous awards and recognitions, Kristin has been featured
in The Baltimore Times; appeared on WHUR’s - The Daily Drum,
alongside Harold T. Fisher; appeared on Radio One: WOL-AM, alongside
Dr. Sheba Holly-Tartt; and has been featured on numerous other media
Kristin is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Inc. and is affiliated with various other organizations
that support her mission and vision.
